The tourist circuit in Dalat

Another busy day for the Schrieves in Dalat. We hired a car and driver this morning to hit the tourist high points around this lovely hillstation. By the end of the day we had hiked waterfalls, toured pagodas, visted a coffee plantation, learned how silk was made from silkworm cocoons (very cool), taken a gondola ride and ridden elephants along the shore of a mountain lake. Oh, we also learned how rice wine was made, saw a mushroom growing operation and visited a tea plantation. There's lots and lots to see around this place!

We'll sleep well tonight. Tomorrow we will reluctantly pack our things and board a bus for Saigon. We've had a marvelous time in Dalat.
