We are still kind of drifting around in the sad reality that we are not going to Thailand. Things there continue to get worse not better so we're pretty sure we made the right decision getting our money back. That said, we're finding that most air tickets are $1200-$2000 more than originally planned. We're also being reminded what caring, wonderful friends we have. I've appreciated the many calls we've received from well-wishers as well as "I'm so sorry" friends. We had a great Thanksgiving with our good friends which included yummy desserts, multiple dishes and laughs. The girls got some movies they had made with American Girl dolls posted on YouTube (check out FourInTheToaster42 for a good laugh -- Billy the Vampire is the best). Again, stay tuned. We're not giving up hope for another trip now or later it's just that we're really exhausted from all the planning before. Still, two weeks vacation is coming fast and we'd like to maximize it. Today, we're off north for some International district fun and a Japanese bookstore for Hallie.
